Armando hails from the lands of the west. A native of Los Angeles, California, he joined the joined the Navy in February 2008 and has since lived in many places throughout the country and has traveled countries far and wide.
He holds a M.S. in Applied Cyber Operations, a B.S. in Cyber Security and Networks , an A.S. in Computer Science. He is also a fluent in Spanish.
He began tutoring with Huntington Learning Center in Maryland and discovered the joy of helping kids with hard subjects like Math and Science. Armando is a proud dad to a 6 year old little girl and a 5 year old little boy, and is married to his wife Karin for over 16 years.
Kaylie received both her bachelor’s in Elementary Education and master’s in Literacy Education from Marshall University. Go Herd! She is a certified reading specialist (Pre-K - Adulthood) as well as being certified in ESE and reading K-12 in Florida.
She is passionate about helping students unlock their full potential and find their own love of reading.
She loves coffee, cats, and reading. When not tutoring, you can find Kaylie at the library, the beach, or exploring new places with her husband and young daughter.
Melissa received her bachelor of science in Early Childhood Education from Athens State University in Alabama. She has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, second grade, and third grade. In addition to classroom teaching, she has also worked as a behavior therapist and elementary reading and math tutor. In all, she taught for 28 years in Alabama before moving to Northwest Florida! I'd say that deserves a round of applause! She currently works as a resource teacher and loves her role helping those in need.
Melissa states that she is passionate about helping students overcome reading challenges and experience academic success. She is great at collaborating with parents and developing strategies for home support. She also enjoys watching students gain confidence and develop a love for reading.
Outside of work, you can find Melissa spending time with family, reading, and taking trips!
Mrs. Nancy Jones is an educator passionate about reading (and writing!) and tailoring that specific education to each and every child. She has worked with ESE students, gifted students, and E/BD students and continues to serve children as a director for an after-school program in Pensacola. Nancy also specializes in coaching writing from early elementary to college level. With lots of love to give, Nancy excels by teaching students fun hand shakes and songs to remember phonics.
Outside of tutoring, Nancy finds pleasure in decorating her house for holidays, reading 20th Century American Lit, cooking, art galleries, walking in her subdivision, flea markets, and Steelers and Saints Football. You can find her doing any of those activities, most likely with her husband and son, who is a sophomore at UWF.
Rhonda Currier earned a Master of Education from University of Edinburgh In Scotland. Her B.A. in Elementary Ed. is from UCF in Orlando. Go Knights!
Her love of teaching and one on one tutoring, though, began way back in childhood when her 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Cole brought this passion to life!
Rhonda's love of people and her drive to encourage others gives her great success in building relationships that foster growth and make learning fun!
She's a wife, mom, and grandmum who delights in exploring nature from the beach to the forest to the mountains. She enjoys reading, bicycling, and traveling anywhere!
